Lummi's playoff battle against Lake Quinault is set for 2 p.m. Saturday at Civic Stadium in Bellingham.
Gale Jefferson, running against Lake Quinault in last year's quarterfinal playoff game, was one of the heroes of the Blackhawks' 28-24 win. The victory propelled them into the semifinals at the Tacoma Dome, where they fell to Almira/Coulee-Hartline. The Lummi-Lake Quinault winner will advance to the semifinals in the Tacoma Dome to face the winner of the other quarterfinal between Wishkah Valley and Neah Bay. See the bracket here.

hey thanks for everything this year John... sorry we couldn't pull out a state ring to make this the perfect story but sometimes life isn't fair and we just have to live with that....... so thanks agian and hopfully see you around...
Success isn't just about winning and losing. It comes in different ways, many of which aren't so easy to see, or which don't become apparent until later. This season was a triumph for the Blackhawks and Lummi Nation. No apologies necessary, Raymond.
